Position: Accountant

Location: Green Park, New Delhi
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Operations:
• Maintain accurate financial records in Tally.
• Prepare and manage journals, ledgers, and other accounting documents.
2. Tax Compliance:
• Handle GST calculations, filing, and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax regulations, including TDS and returns.
3. Banking and Payments:
• Process cheques and monitor bank statements.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations.
4. Financial Reporting:
• Generate reports on cash flow, expenses, and profitability.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
5. Basic Calculations:
• Ensure precise calculations for gold, diamonds, and other precious materials.
• Verify costing for individual pieces and inventory management.
6. Audit Support:
• Collaborate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
7. Confidentiality:
• Safeguard sensitive financial information and ensure strict confidentiality in all financial operations.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a jewellery firm.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with GST, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and basic accounting principles.
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity.
