Job Description

As a Area Sales Manager at GM Modular Pvt Ltd, your primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the sales activities within your designated territory. Your role involves working closely with channel partners, dealers, and distributors to promote and sell GM Modular's range of products, including modular switches, LED lights, switchgear, wires, and pipes

Below are some key aspects of your role:


Sales Management: You are responsible for achieving sales targets within your assigned territory. This includes developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Channel Sales: As a part of the channel sales team, you collaborate with channel partners, dealers, and distributors to ensure the effective distribution and availability of GM Modular's products in the market. You may conduct regular meetings, training sessions, and promotional activities to boost sales.


Product Promotion: You play a crucial role in promoting GM Modular's products. This involves conducting product demonstrations, explaining features and benefits to customers, and organizing events or exhibitions to showcase the product range.


Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback is essential to identify potential areas for improvement and stay ahead in the market. You may be required to provide feedback and insights to the marketing and product development teams.


Team Coordination: Depending on the organizational structure, you might oversee a team of sales representatives or executives within your territory. In such cases, you will be responsible for their performance, training, and motivation.


Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers is vital for long-term business success. Ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues promptly is essential to retain customers and foster loyalty.


Sales Reporting: Regularly reporting sales performance, market updates, and other relevant data to higher management is part of your responsibilities. This helps in assessing the effectiveness of sales strategies and making informed business decisions.


Territory Planning: Developing a comprehensive plan for your territory, including setting objectives, allocating resources, and defining action plans, is crucial for achieving sales targets and maximizing business opportunities.


As a Area Sales Manager, you are the face of GM Modular in your area and play a critical role in driving sales and revenue growth for the company. Effective communication, negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the products and market dynamics are essential for success in this role


Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10-15 years of experience in electrical sales or related field (Topology Planning).
  • Strong understanding of b2c sales principles and practices; ability to develop successful partnerships with customers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in an industry setting.
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a larger team; self-motivated individual who thrives on challenge.
  • Excellent communication skills for building strong relationships with internal stakeholders (sales team) as well as external ones (customers).
