Job Description : This role requires a highly skilled and experienced SDET with a strong focus on testing Business Intelligence (BI) applications, particularly within the Oracle BI ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BI concepts and hands-on experience with Oracle BI tools like OBI and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites (functional, regression, integration, performance, and security) for Oracle BI projects.

- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios covering all aspects of the BI application lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or other relevant frameworks.

- Execute test cases, analyze test results, and log defects in a timely and accurate manner.

- Track and monitor defects through the resolution process.

- Strong understanding of BI concepts, including data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle BI tools: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)

- Experience with other Oracle BI components (e.g., Data Integrator, Discoverer) is a plus.

- Proficiency in SQL and ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Effectively communicate testing status, risks, and issues to project teams and management.

- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

- Advocate for best practices in quality assurance and software testing.

Required Skills :

- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Application Tester or similar role in a BI environment.

- Strong understanding of BI concepts and hands-on experience with Oracle BI tools (OBI, OAS).

- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and scripts.

- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, TestNG, or comparable technologies.

- Familiarity with SQL and ability to write and execute SQL queries for test data validation.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, document, and track defects.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills :

- Basic understanding of data modeling principles and ETL processes.

- Prior experience in testing system migrations or upgrades.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
