Engineering Head - System Design & Architecture (15-23 yrs)

Job Description :

- 15+ years of in software programming involving UI framework (Angular), HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, Firebase, Spring boot, NodeJs, Python, C/C++.

- Proven track record in projects involving web app frontend, mobile frontend, and backend microservices technologies.

- Experience in the Ionic framework is a plus.

- Proficient in UX design tools (e.g., Figma) and design patterns (e.g., MVVM).

- Experience in REST, JSON, analyzing log files, and tools-based debugging.

- Good experience in designing systems/subsystems involving at least four external interfaces, such as SQL-like databases, Lucene-like search engines, REST, publish-subscribe, request-response, time-based, and event-based interfaces.

- Experience managing a development team will be an added advantage.

- Strong problem analysis skills and deep involvement in solving field/production issues.

- Effective coordination with Architect, Test team, Sales team, and UX team. Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to independently own activities and take responsibility for their success.

- Worked in an Agile environment, with a clear understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

- Emphasis on a product-centric approach with significant experience in product development. Demonstrated ability in building and scaling complex products.

- Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is an added advantage.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of large-scale software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies.

- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and enforce coding standards and best practices.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our products and development practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Participate in hiring and onboarding activities, helping to build a strong and diverse engineering team.

- Work with a team of engineers through difficult architectural trade-offs.

- Collaborate on detailed design documents and action plans for features slated for development.

- Manage your work through the use of Github, Jira, and our build/deploy systems.

- Must own modules and feature development.
