Test Lead

Primary responsibilities:

1. Full ownership of all testing related activities within the POD (team)
2. Review/Create a testing strategy that is suitable to the product and meets industry standards
3. Write test plans for various project cycles
4. Write and execute test cases, write code to automate test execution
5. Participate in requirement elaboration and understand use cases.
6. Focus on increasing test coverage, test automation, and defect reduction
7. Perform non-functional testing e.g. performance/load testing
8. Enable test execution via CICD Jenkins pipelines
9. Own and support testing at various levels, including Post Production Verification
10. Analyze defect trends and create a plan on reducing/eliminating repeat occurrence
11. Propose recommendations actions that POD should undertake to improve quality of their deliverable
12. Provide regular testing status updates/reports
13. Ensure compliance to necessary testing controls
14. Work in Agile model
15. Work with central practice teams to adopt bring in Testing best practices into the POD

Required Skills:

1. 10+ years of hands-on experience with strategizing and execution of tests for Python based applications (GUI portals, REST API Micro services)
2. Has used related Python modules e.g. unittest, pytest, requests, robotframework, selenium and so on
3. Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
4. Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
5. Excellent knowledge of how Web Portals, REST API micro services are developed and tested.
6. Knowledge of Python coding/development
7. Knowledge of tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Postman, Cucumber, Selenium, JIRA
8. Team player, excellent analytical skills, ability to lead, open to feedback
