We are hiring Zonal Sales Manager (2nd Line), Oncology.

Role Overview -

The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) will oversee and drive the sales strategy for oncology products within the assigned zone. The role involves managing a team of Sales Representatives, ensuring achievement of sales targets, and coordinating efforts to successfully launch and grow new oncology products. The ZSM will also handle tender business operations, guide rate quotations, and ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem.


Roles & Responsibilities -

1. Team Management and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, address challenges, and share best practices.
  • Identify skill gaps and organize training programs to enhance team capabilities

2. Sales Target Achievement:

  • Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against targets and provide guidance to achieve goals.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and take corrective actions as needed

3. Tender Business and Rate Quotation Management:

  • Oversee the tender submission process within the zone, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives and internal teams to provide competitive rate quotations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tender committees and procurement authorities

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key oncologists, hospital administrators, and procurement teams.
  • Represent the organization in key meetings, CMEs, and events to strengthen brand presence.

5. Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager

6. Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • Monitor team compliance with reporting protocols and regulatory requirements.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with marketing, medical, and supply chain teams to ensure the effective execution of promotional campaigns and product availability.
  • Provide market insights and field intelligence to support strategic decision-making.

Job Requirement -

  • Education: Graduate in Life Sciences/Pharmacy
  • Work Experience: 10 plus years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role. Proven track record of managing a team and achieving sales targets in specialty or oncology products. Experience in tender business management and rate quotation processes is required.
  • Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position: Strong leadership and team management skills / Advanced communication and negotiation capabilities/Analytical mindset with expertise in sales forecasting and market trend analysis/ Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone.
