Associate - Logistics

The First Mile Logistics Executive will oversee the initial stages of the supply chain, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers and manufacturers courier partners or warehouses. This role is pivotal in ensuring on-time order fulfillment and optimizing the first mile logistics process to support a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership skills and a passion for logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier and Vendor Coordination
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to fulfilment centers.
• Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Logistics and Transportation Management
• Oversee the first mile transportation process, including planning, scheduling, and tracking shipments from suppliers to fulfilment centers/ warehouses/ 3PLs.
• Inventory Management and Process Coordination
• Work closely with the category and operations teams to ensure accurate and efficient handling of goods upon arrival at warehouses.
• Ensure all incoming goods are processed, stored, and recorded accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution
• Proactively address delays, damage claims, and other issues related to first mile logistics, ensuring minimal disruption to the overall supply chain.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve any transportation-related challenges.
• Cost Control and Budget Management
• Develop and manage the budget for first mile logistics, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
• Monitor and report on logistics expenditures and recommend process improvements to optimize costs.

Qualifications:

• Experience :
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or eCommerce operations, with a focus on first mile logistics or transportation management.
• Strong experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and warehousing/ inventory management.
