As Senior Network Engineer lead- Network architecture

The primary responsibility will be Design, planning and implement the best of art network technologies.

You will work closely with the teams from Network Engineering, NOC and other cross-functional teams who are managing systems and applications, to drive efficiency and improvements in supporting/managing the business.

The incumbent who are passionate about building and operating best-in-the-breed infrastructure through technology and innovation.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for Design, planning and implement the best of art network technologies.
• Analyse business IT needs and requirements to develop technical solutions.
• Design network systems to meet business needs, including LANs, WANs, intranets, Internet connections, Cloud network, data communication networks, etc.
• Perform network modelling, analysis, budgeting, and planning tasks.
• Experience in Troubleshoot complex networks, identifying and correcting technical issues.
• Act as L4 during crisis/incident event management incidents as needed.
• Cross team /partner engagements to represent Project concerns/needs.
• Provide leadership to manage demands from projects and technology upgrades including recommendations for vendor tools/solutions and global alignment of networks.
• Manage oversight of complex network operations processes based on a combination of vendors, custom solutions, and internal resources.
• Decision making authority is broad and can have significant material impact on cost, business planning and success of Bank core business.
• Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements to network engineering, and assist in lab/ QA deployments for technology trials.
• Ensure that information security and risk management are embedded within the culture requiring continuous improvement to a complex set of functions to coordinate security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets.
• Direct and manage network-related projects from initiation to completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Direct the continuous and secure maintenance of the corporate, data centre, and cloud networking infrastructure, including network security and Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Plans.
• Establish standards and governance in future acquisitions to mitigate risk and maximize network stability.
• Network specific - diagrams, configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers, program manage collaboration projects externally and internally.
• Mentor technical staff and drive programs to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Mentor, manage and motivate a high-performing team of senior professionals and set clear priorities to achieve department goals and KPIs.
• Demonstrate expertise in SD-WAN solutions, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of SD-WAN networks. Optimize network connectivity, reduce latency, and enhance overall performance.
• Cisco ACI and Data centre technologies Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of Cisco ACI and Data centre technologies ensuring efficient and secure data transmission. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the organization's competitive edge.
• Ensure network design comply with relevant regulations and standards. Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in IT/ Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 15-20 years of Network work experience in Design, planning and Operation
• Architectural and Design Leadership experience in mandatory implementing, maintaining, state of the art network hardware and software systems.
• Experience on DCI, spine-lead, IPV6 Migration, Cloud networking, Automation is must and experience on Container and devops will be added advantage.
• Network & Infrastructure experience specific to medium or large size organizations
• Ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and motivated to support management initiatives.
• Demonstrate a consultative approach to strategic decisions with a particular emphasis on delivery.
• Design and Hands on experience on Cisco and Juniper core technologies platform like Cisco ACI, Multipod IP, All Routing platform form, HP SDWAN Campus LAN, WIFI ,NAC and Juniper route

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or held advanced network technical certification (e.g., CCIE/CCNP, JNCIE/JNCIS, or relevant industry certification etc.
• Experience or background with automation using Terraform, Ansible and/or Python would be desired.
• Proven track record of driving change and transformation in network engineering processes, tools and technologies through metrics driven, KPI based methodologies, and an evidence based operational improvement and decision-making approach to best meet business objectives and priorities.
• Experience working with highly effective engineering teams through major technology transitions.
• Prior experience in a dedicated role around defining network engineering strategic planning.
• Prior experience in multi-vendor networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience in deploying large scale network technologies.
• Great communicator and able to drive consensus across diverse/global technology teams.
• Demonstrated experience of metrics driven management with accountability.
• This position requires the incumbent to travel for certain project
• Incumbents must make themselves available during core business hours and any on-call escalation after business hours.
• Strong Hands and management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
