What You’ll Do:

• Design and build scalable data processing frameworks that support both streaming and batch workloads, aligning with our metadata-driven architecture.
• Work on big data using PySpark and SQL, optimizing data pipelines and contributing to the development of our modern Data Lakehouse built on the medallion architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless ETL/ELT processes and drive performance optimization using techniques like Delta optimization, Z-ordering, and liquid clustering.
• Take ownership of building efficient and scalable solutions leveraging the latest trends in Databricks, including Structured Streaming, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and DBSQL.
• Optimize workloads and ensure efficient processing on the Azure Data Platform using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in performance and scalability, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Integrate Azure data and integration components into comprehensive data solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate using Git, working in a fast-paced, agile environment, and continuously refining our common code base.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years in data/software engineering roles, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining data frameworks for large-scale data processing.
• Technical Mastery: Expertise in Python (especially with OOP and testing frameworks like Pytest), PySpark, and SQL. Strong knowledge of data warehousing, medallion architecture, and performance optimization for big data.
• Proven Azure expertise: A solid understanding of Azure services, with experience combining Azure data and integration components into data solutions.
