The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. The teams expertise spans a wide range of areas, including AI/ML, Data Science, IoT, NLP, Cloud, Infrastructure, RPA and Automation, Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Blockchain, SAP S4 HANA and Enterprise Architecture. for the company. Purpose of the role
Come be part of the Pet segment, the second largest and fastest growing segment at General Mills! The Integrated Business Planning team brings clarity and focus to make data-driven decisions that grow our brands. We are at an exciting time where we are building our team to co-deliver demand planning SaaS capabilities. We d love YOU to be part of the Digital Technology team, ensuring we have the right product at the right time and place to feed pets the food they love!
- Learn the demand planning process and General Mills SaaS capability to meet today s challenges of improving forecasting accuracy and reducing manual efforts.
- Partner with business SMEs and Digital Technology peers to learn, implement, and maintain data sources and structures, system integrations and SaaS configurations required to model market performance and forecasts
- Serve as the technical SME for Demand Planning, uncovering key business questions and providing analysis, insights, and solutions.
- Gather project requirements from business partners; identify and eliminate gaps via partnership with Digital Technology and SaaS vendors; translate requirements into technical requirements and documentation; design and implement solutions; communicate throughout the entire development process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Demand planning capability encompassing data, process, people, and technology.
- Identify, strategize, and outline technical implementation strategy as well as coach and guide internal teammates and external partners on related strategies and implementation.
- Ensure the solution design is technically robust and that it meets SaaS standards and General Mills IT principles.
- Guide data integration strategy for transformations, resolving errors, identifying and resolving gaps.
- Deliver value-adding capabilities and enhancements by Design-Configure-Test-Deploy approach.
- Flawlessly balance Run, Improve and Transform business needs: prioritizing tickets; ensuring optimal system performance; managing vendor relationships; troubleshooting; root cause analysis; testing.
- Potential for opportunities to support across the spectrum of Integrated Business Planning.
- Configure the O9 platform based on the solution blueprint and design documents to solve complex supply chain problems.
- Ensure systems meet security and quality standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant discipline.
- 5+ years leading and working with teams in a technical analyst or solution architect position
- 3+ years o9 demand planning and forecasting experience (hands on)
- A dvanced knowledge and application of o9 demand planning capabilities
- A strong sense of accountability and ownership in work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Can-do, positive attitude, a commitment to a team delivery approach, and adaptability to evolve with a rapidly changing part of our business.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- configurations and workflows.
- o9 certifications, including o9 Demand Planning Core Solution Building Blocks and Integrations Specialist Preference Product Specialist.
- Familiarity with ADO / JIRA and Agile-Scrum.
- Business process optimization to influence art-of-possible.
- Effective verbal and written communication at strategic level; comfortable presenting.
- Effectively manage vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of integration of planning functions with other functions
