Job Description Summary
The Engineer Product Definition will be responsible for delivering customer deliverables in the form of 2D packages, including, but not limited to, schematics, device summaries, and connection lists for GT and other product lines in accordance with applicable GE and industry standards (such as ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, DIN etc.).
In this position, the individual will work in close coordination with the CCP and Project Engineering Organizations.
In addition to working on all key team priorities, the Engineer in Product Definition will primarily be responsible for and taking ownership of schematic tasks in any given project, both in the ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) stages of above said disciplines.
The individual is expected to support the Technical Team Leader who is the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) from CMPD for 2D Packages and will coordinate with Engineering Centers of Excellence (CoEs), the Project Engineering Organization & Contractor team while delivering on internal as well as external (customer submittal) tasks. They shall also assist in managing project risks and expediting issue resolution, especially during site support requests and fast-track projects. The selected individual will also be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer outcomes by developing strong working relationships with different engineering functions, the global CTH (Controlled Title Holder) community, HDPE (Heavy Duty Plant Engineering), Commercial/Sales, FieldCore, Sourcing, and Quality teams.
