Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our team at Avis Enertech Pvt Limited

As a Piping Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry

This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience

The position is full-time and based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

4 to 6 years of experience in piping design for the Oil and Gas industry

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks

Knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API 650, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Roles And Responsibilities

Design and develop piping systems according to project requirements and industry standards

Prepare detailed engineering and construction drawings using CAD software

Perform piping stress analysis and ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, structural engineers, and project managers

Assist in the selection of materials and equipment for piping systems

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure accurate implementation of design

Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project

Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers
