As a Tax Specialist, we are seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Specialist to join our tax team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting global tax teams with accurate and timely global tax compliance reporting and tax audit procedures. What You Will Do in This Role
Retrieve data from Oracle and other accounting software systems like Business Objects. This data is essential for various tax compliances, such as AP reports for 26Q, 27Q, and advance tax payment reports for CIT returns, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the extracted data.
Extract, modify, and prepare tax reports, including tax payable and tax receivable reports, organizing data to meet the needs of global tax functions for EMEA, APJ, and US entities.
Systematically validate and store data in prescribed locations to ensure its availability for other tax functions.
Perform tax reconciliation to ensure no tax leakage.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments like Accounts Payable, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, Payroll, and IT to understand data requirements for annual or monthly direct and indirect tax compliance, providing necessary support.
Prepare requisite schedules and tables in the prescribed format for tax reporting compliance, such as fixed asset schedules and shareholders equity, as requested by global tax teams.
Support tax audits globally by extracting necessary information/data and organizing it into schedules as requested by tax authorities in various jurisdictions.
Conduct detailed invoice verification and validation to ensure accurate tax return reporting.
Prepare and post all tax-related accounting journal entries (JEs), ensuring correctness and timeliness, including tax provision adjustment JEs required for year-end closures.
Prepare quarterly reconciliation of tax general ledgers (GLs).
What You ll Need to be Successful in this Role
CA Inter / ICWA Inter with 3-5 years of experience, or B. Com / M. Com with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Experience in GST, Corporate Tax, or Global Taxes is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel formulas and functions. Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP software is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
