Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead - Major Incident Management to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and leading the response to major incidents that impact our operations and customer service. This position requires a proactive approach to incident management, with a focus on minimizing downtime and restoring normal service operations as swiftly as possible. As a lead, you will not only coordinate the response across various teams but also serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and documented processes. You will leverage your expertise to implement improvements in incident management processes, allowing us to enhance our service delivery and customer satisfaction. Your strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities will be crucial in identifying root causes and developing strategies to prevent recurring issues. Responsibilities
Lead the major incident management team to effectively respond to and resolve incidents that have significant impact on the organization.
Coordinate cross-functional teams during major incidents to ensure quick resolution and communication of status updates.
Develop and implement incident management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce resolution time.
Facilitate post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to derive actionable insights and implement preventive measures.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders during major incidents, providing timely updates and status reports.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to major incidents and overall incident management effectiveness.
Train and mentor team members on incident management principles and best practices to ensure continual skill development.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in incident management, with a focus on major incident scenarios in a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices in incident management.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations quickly and implement effective solutions.
Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and incident tracking systems.
