Sustainable Procurement- Specialist

1In this role, candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies that align with the organizations goals.

Candidate will be responsible for:

- driving various topics related to sustainable procurement (ex- inputs on Procurement section for Corporate Sustainability report & external rating agencencies questionnaires).

- managing audit queries/regulatory requirements of customers via collecting feedback from suppliers/internal stakeholders and communicating responses within stipulated timeframe to the respective Program Managers.

- managing projects (Annual Supplier's evaluation /Scope 3 study/ Recycling materials)

- monitoring C02 reduction roadmap at suppliers

- defining and executing roadmap for sustainability in Procurement (Scope 3, ESG, ....)

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies and procedures.

2. Review audit & customer queries in accordance with procurement processes to draft appropriate responses.

3. Conduct data gathering and management of the sustainable procurement activity.

4. Conduct sustainability assessments and audits of suppliers

5. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainable procurement

6. Additionally, we are looking for a person who can create and implement project plans, maintain timelines, monitor the completion, and report the issues on time that impact project progress, and coordinate actions.

7. Provide training and support to internal teams on sustainable procurement.

8. Ability to Interpret customer needs and assesses requirements.

9. Prepare and present reports on sustainability initiatives and progress to senior management

10. Evaluate suppliers based on their sustainability practices and performance

Preferred candidate profile

1. Knowledge of sustainable procurement frameworks and standards

2. Good communication skills (up to senior levels inside/outside Garrett) and the ability to work in a team environment.x

3. Program Management skills

4. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks effectively with customer focus and responsiveness

5. Ability to analyze data and generate reports. Analytical skills

6. Strong project management skills

Education :

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field

Certification in sustainable procurement or a related field is a plus

Experience :

'3 - 6 years relevant experience.

Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or sustainability.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
