Job description:

POSITION SUMMARY: Gathers and documents detailed requirements for business projects and determines moderately complex solution designs. Evaluates new technologies for improving existing functions and offers suggestions for design options to execute improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use IBM Sterling Integration Suite (SI) to design, develop, customize, integrate, test, implement, administer and support the complete IBM SI suite to meet the rapidly growing company need
• Create, test, and maintain EDI maps
• Establish and maintain trading partner relationships
• Troubleshoot data issues, mapping, and business processes
• Identify, design, implement, and test EDI processes related to Oracle eBusiness Suite
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to meet requirements
• Write or update program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides
• Create test cases and assist EDI developers & business to thoroughly test new development work including repeating the test cycle until all test result are satisfactory
• Gathers and documents detailed requirements for business needs and independently determines moderately complex solutions designs
• Demonstrates advanced understanding and execution of the software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS or other ERP systems.
• Demonstrates mastery of troubleshooting and research tools (i.e. myOracleSupport, e-TRM, Implementation Guides, etc.) to complete complex troubleshooting
• Identifies interdependencies in programs and comprehensive test scenarios
• Offers suggestions to improve processes and design options for executing those improvements
• Evaluates new technologies for improving existing functions and determines feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives
• Understands business impacts of issues as they relate to IT owned solutions
• Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Demonstrates broad understanding of Garmins business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced Application Analysts (Application Analyst 1 & 2)
• Consistently looks at the opportunity in all change
• Gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner
• Resolves conflicts with little assistance
• Exemplifies Garmins Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image and culture

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs
• Perform other duties as necessary
• Timings : 12 PM to 9 PM IST

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Outstanding academics
• Demonstrates mastery of project management principles and adapts practices to meet rapidly changing business climates and needs
• Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions
• Demonstrated understanding in the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
• Demonstrated proficiency and familiarity with communication protocols such as SFTP and AS2
• Experience with EDI in an Oracle eBusiness Suite environment
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting

• Previous experience working in a team environment
• Good to have Java Knowledge.
