Sr Software Engineer

About the Role In this role, you will design highly scalable and high performing technology solutions in an Agile work environment and produce and deliver code and/or test cases using your knowledge of software development and Agile practice. You will collaborate closely with business support teams, product managers, security and architecture to assist in resolving critical production issues to help simplify and improve business processes through the latest in technology and automation. You are a technical expert that will lead through the requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and support phases of a product. You are proficient in at least one core programming languages or packages. What Youll Do

• Designs and develops applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance and reusability

• Responsible for Story preparation, development of code, writing automated unit and integration test, getting sign-off from manager, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of code

• Design, implement and launch highly-visible features for our retail platform using Test/Behaviour Driven Development practices and support the operations of the product in production

• Excellent in troubleshooting any production related problem.

• Continuously grow his/her skills and value through pair programming and code reviews

• Practice relentless automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps

• Works collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions following Agile development principles and practices

• Flexible to be available on call as per project need

• Looking for Sr. Engineers with 4 to 7 years of experience

• Proficient working knowledge of Java - Collections, String handling, Multi-threading, Exception handling, Generics and Synchronization

• Hands-on in application/Product Development and Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Rest and Spring Data JPA framework.

• Strong working knowledge of RabbitMQ/ Kafka messaging infra.

• Strong Working knowledge of RESTful APIs

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or any other NoSQL DB

• Experience in Continuous integration/Delivery tools like Jenkins CI/CD

• Good to have Cloud environment like PCF/Azure cloud.

• Knowledge in Code Quality tools/frameworks like Sonar

• Strong knowledge of Automated Testing. Unit Testing, Integration Testing & Contract Testing.

• Experience working in Agile.

• Knowledge of SQL Performance Tuning

• Experience with Cloud

• Knowledge of Cloud Foundry (Pivotal CF)

• Experience working in Kafka or Azure Event Hub

• On-call support experience with PagerDuty, Service Now

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools like Nagios, New Relic

• Knowledge of Splunk

• Experience working with Lean and Extreme Programming (XP)
