UX Researcher

Responsibilities.

Be the expert on the users within your allocated area of coverage:know player motivations, their pain points, their workflows, etc..

Personally initiate and conduct research projects within your assigned games to build deep foundational knowledge..

Communicate statuses and updates of project work to stakeholders..

Share research insights in creative ways to increase empathy..

Research should consist of a mix of problem validation, foundational research, and strategic research projects..

Conduct all stages of UX research:identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analyzing, and reporting out insights..

Drive a company-wide research-based program:design or improve upon a methodology (if needed), collect and report findings..

Create high-quality deliverables that tell compelling stories integrated with research findings.

This is typically accomplished through reports, presentations, video recordings, etc..

Business acumen:consider the team's business goals when approaching research projects to ensure alignment..

Consistently demonstrate research impact across your assigned game through your research efforts..

Lead and mentor other Researchers on methods, communication, and successful collaboration/working models, and support the mentee's personal and professional growth by collaborating with them on projects, sharing expertise, and providing guidance, while offering constructive feedback..

Requirements.

5 to 7+ years of experience in the research field..

Bachelor's or MS in a human behavior-related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)..

Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills..

Has driven research projects from end to end before..

Passionate about and effective at mentoring others..

Empathetic, curious, and open-minded..

Able to conduct research or come up with solutions for conducting research in local languages..

Have an idea of the workflows and tooling used by design, and product teams..

Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete research implications..

Be passionate about resolving user pain points..

Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism..

Be detail driven, and able to manage time across several projects at the same time..

Be passionate about team building with empathy and a solution-oriented attitude towards people and outputs..

Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.

Research and showcase knowledge of the industry's latest trends and technologies..

Above all has the intent to constantly learn, evolve, and drive change in the best interest of the User and Product in mind..
