Position Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in leadership but also actively engaged in coding. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high-quality features, leading by example and inspiring the team through direct involvement in technical work and guidance.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership :

- Lead and manage a talented Engineering Team of 8+ members.

- Set clear goals and objectives (OKRs), monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations

- Build and maintain a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Player Obsession & delivery :

- Be obsessed about players and giving the best experience to our players.

- Manage the development cycle, ensuring the timely delivery of features while maintaining high quality standards.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Design, UI/UX, Art, and QA, to deliver on planned features.

Technical Excellence :

- Conduct design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Maintain a robust technical backlog focused on modernizing the tech stack, improving performance, and enhancing game stability.

- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends, continuously adopting new technologies to improve game performance and player experience.

- Familiarity with cloud-based services, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Foster strong communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.

- Act as a liaison between engineering and other teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.

- Build and maintain strong internal relationships, ensuring the team's efforts align with broader company goals.

Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in C++, Java, Go, or Python

- Experience in high-level design (HLD), low-level design (LLD), and building scalable systems.

- Should have 1+ years of experience in managing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams through hands-on coding and technical guidance.

- Startup experience is a plus, shown ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

- Experience in gaming industry is a plus

- Good communication skills, interpersonal skills with experience in building strong internal relationships.

- Hands on experience in Designing, Coding, debugging and release management.

- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
