Engineering Manager - Python/Golang (6-11 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for "Engineering Manager (Python, GoLang)" for one of our clients (A mobile application based platform which aims to plug all pain points around car ownership for consumers and corporations alike.)

Location : Onsite (Work from office) Gurugram, Haryana

Experience Required : 6 - 11 years

Working Days : 5 days/week

Mandatory :

Strong Senior Backend Engineer profile

Mandatory (Experience 1) : 6+ YOE in Software Development

Mandatory (Experience 2) : Must have worked for 2+ years in the same company

Mandatory (Core Skill 1) : Must have at least 4+ YOE Experience in coding / scripting using language: Python, GoLang, Django (All 3 must & mentioned in resume).

Mandatory (Core Skill 2) : Must have Experience in any database - MySQL / PostgreSQL / Postgres / Oracle / SQL Server / DB2 / SQL

Mandatory (Company) : Product Companies

Mandatory (Education) : BE / BTech

Role & Responsibilities :

Technical Guidance :

- You will provide technical leadership to a team of excellent software engineers; this requires that you have the technical depth to make complex design decisions and the hands-on ability to lead by example.

Execution and Delivery :

- You will be expected to instill and follow good software development practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

- You should be familiar with agile practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality.

Team management :

- You will be responsible for hiring and mentoring your team; helping individuals grow in their careers, having a constant dialogue about their aspirations and sharing prompt, clear, and actionable feedback about performance.

Ideal Candidate :

Technical depth :

- You have the strong technical competence required to gain credibility. Ability to architect, design and code yourself.

- Technical experience in building and operating web-based applications.

- Deep understanding of all layers of the web-stack work (from the client interface to the database.)

- Knowledge of multiple technology stacks/languages/tools and their pros/cons.

Execution ability :

- Focus on delivering products in a timely manner with high quality.

- Familiarity with multiple software development practices and tools, and the proven ability to adapt, champion and institute good practices and tools.

- You must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, concurrency and fundamentals of computer-science.

- Strong problem-solving skills, data structures and algorithms.

- Strong hands-on technology experience building and running large-scale systems.

- Be a very hands-on manager by involving in coding, code reviews, design and architecture reviews.

- 6+ years of previous software industry experience.

- 2+ years of dedicated Engineering management experience.

- Strong interpersonal skills to drive the roadmap execution across different geographies, product and functional teams.

- Experience crafting products powered by data and insights, instrumentation, experimentation, and metrics-driven success criteria.

- Deep understanding of building cloud native aps on either AWS / Azure or GCP.
