Job Description

The AGM/DGM - Skill Development will play a critical leadership role in advancing Galgotias University's skill development initiatives. The position is a balanced mix of 40% Business Development and 60% Operations and P&L Management, ensuring the university's skill training programs are strategically aligned with industry needs and effectively managed for profitability.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development (40%)

  • Forge partnerships with MSDE, NSDC, SSCs, and State Skill Development Missions to expand and enhance skill development programs.
  • Lead the formation of project-specific Consortiums and Joint Ventures with industry players and educational institutions to drive innovation and growth in training programs.
  • Develop and pursue new business opportunities for skill development initiatives, ensuring alignment with government schemes and industry needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to secure funding, resources, and strategic collaborations for program expansion.

Operations and P&L Management (60%)

  • Oversee the execution of skill development programs, ensuring operational efficiency, quality delivery, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with training vendors, partners, and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with university policies.
  • Manage the onboarding of vendors, ensuring they meet quality standards and program requirements.
  • Establish and monitor Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) processes to assess the effectiveness of programs and implement improvements.
  • Develop placement tie-ups with industry partners to facilitate employment opportunities for program participants.
  • Oversee P&L management for skill development projects, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience in skill development, education management, or related sectors, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong experience in business development, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Expertise in project-specific Consortiums/Joint Ventures, Monitoring and Evaluation, and placement strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian skill development ecosystem and government policies.
  • Proven ability in P&L management, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.
