Performance Test Engineer

Technical & Professional Requirements:

• Performance Test Planning: Ability to gather knowledge of application architecture, infrastructure, and tech solutions to create effective performance test plans.
• Hands-on with Performance Tools: Strong experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and APM tools.
• Performance Scripting & Execution: Hands-on experience with performance scripting, test execution, analysis, and the ability to design complex test scenarios.
• Web, API & UI Testing: Experience in performance testing for web, API, and front-end UI, with a focus on improving page load times.
• Performance Concepts: In-depth knowledge of load testing, soak testing, scalability, and stress testing.
• Understanding Performance Factors: Familiarity with factors influencing software performance, including database, network, CPU, and memory utilization.
• Performance Metrics: Ability to understand server-side and client-side performance metrics for both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Log File Analysis: Ability to analyze technical specifications and log files to identify issues.
• API Performance Testing: Experience with Postman and SoapUI for API performance testing.
• Retail Domain Expertise: Experience working in the retail domain and performance testing of Salesforce Commerce Cloud applications.
• Front-End Performance Testing: Experience in UI performance testing for both web and mobile devices.

Duties to Be Performed:

• Test Script Development: Handle test script development, execution, and report preparation.
• Test Approach & Strategy: Develop and prepare performance test approaches and strategies based on NFR and scope.
• Collaborate with BA & Ops Teams: Work with Business Analysts (BA) and Ops teams to define Non-Functional Requirements (NFR).
• Early Performance Testing Integration: Drive early integration of performance testing into the SDLC.
• Script Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts.
• Client Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with client stakeholders to drive sprint and release ceremonies.
• Team Rapport: Build a strong rapport with both the project team and client stakeholders.
• Component-Level Test Process: Work with in-sprint or development teams to implement component-level testing.
• Workload Model: Define and finalize workload models for website journeys.
• Identify Environment Requirements: Identify requirements for Non-Functional Testing (NFT) environments.
• NFT Approach: Define and socialize the NFT approach with PM, PO, BA, Engineering, SEO, Delivery, and Ops teams.
