Roles & Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
Ensure Projects meet local, state, and regulatory bodies.
Secure necessary permits and approvals from regulatory bodies CTU / CERC/ WRLDC/ WRPC/ CEA
Work with environmental agencies to obtain environmental impact assessments and clearances.
Regulatory Monitoring:
Monitor changes in regulatory policies affecting BOOT project for transmission lines and substations.
Provide guidance on new legislation or regulations impacting current or future projects.
Interpret complex regulatory texts and explain implications to stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, applications, and reports in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date records of all regulatory interactions, permits, and compliance documents.
Conduct internal audits to ensure continuous regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary liaison between the company, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
Coordinate and lead discussions with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth project approval processes.
Collaborate with legal and project management teams to address regulatory issues proactively.
Project Support:
Provide regulatory guidance to project teams during the planning, design, and execution phases of substation and transmission line projects.
Assist in risk assessments related to regulatory non-compliance and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support in preparing presentations and documentation for public hearings and regulatory reviews.
Environmental and Safety Standards:
Ensure compliance with environmental policies (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act).
Oversee the implementation of health, safety, and environmental guidelines as per regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
Education: Graduate Engineer in Electrical/ Civil/ Mechanical Engineering with 10 - 15 years experience alternatively a Law degree with experience in specific regulatory field related to Power
