Engineer / Senior Engineer Substation Electrical

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution and Management:
   
• Oversee the execution of substation electrical projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to address project challenges.
2. Technical Leadership:
   
• Review and approve detailed designs, specifications, and technical documentation for substation electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, busbars, and protection schemes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, such as IEC, IEEE, and local electrical codes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
3. Site Coordination:
   
• Supervise on-site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to address technical issues and ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor progress and generate status reports for management and clients.
4. Quality and Safety Assurance:
   
• Enforce strict adherence to quality assurance and safety protocols.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure all activities meet required standards and specifications.
5. Client Interaction and Stakeholder Management:
   
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular updates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including utility companies, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in substation engineering, with a focus on execution and project management.
