Engineer / Sr Engineer Production

Role & responsibilities

• Process Design and Improvement:
  

1. Design, develop, and implement production processes.
2. Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
3. Introduce automation and new technologies to streamline production.

• Production Management:
  

1. Oversee the production line operations, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with production goals.
2. Monitor daily production activities to ensure schedules are met and quality standards are upheld.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machinery, equipment, or production processes.

• Quality Control:
  

1. Ensure the manufactured products meet all required specifications and quality standards.
2. Collaborate with quality control teams to develop testing methods and monitor product performance.
3. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any product defects or quality issues.

• Resource Planning:
  

1. Manage production schedules and inventory levels to ensure resources are available when needed.
2. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely supply of raw materials and parts.
3. Ensure efficient use of machinery and equipment.

• Health and Safety Compliance:
  

1. Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all workers follow safe working practices.
2. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize potential hazards in the production area.

• Team Collaboration and Training:
  

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and maintenance departments.
2. Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  

1. Analyze production data to track performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
2. Prepare reports on production efficiency, downtime, and any issues encountered.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
