Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite unsecured loans on a sample basis, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
2. Evaluate loan applications, making decisions to approve or reject based on creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and analysis of documents such as bank statements, KYC, etc.
3. Identify potential fraud or fraud patterns within the underwritten pool and take appropriate actions.
4. Monitor and flag any red flags arising during the course of policy implementation.
5. Analyze customer documents to ensure alignment with credit policies.
6. Maintain high underwriting standards across all business segments.
7. Identify potential portfolio risks and work with stakeholders to ensure timely remedial measures.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience of 1-5 Years as a Loan Underwriter for unsecured personal loans, ideally within a bank, NBFC, Fintech, or MNC in the credit department.
2. Strong knowledge of credit assessment, risk analysis, and loan evaluation.
3. Familiarity with fraud detection techniques and experience in identifying inconsistencies.
4. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to assess creditworthiness accurately.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standards of underwriting quality.
