Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (Australian Agency Work From Home)

We are seeking a highly versatile and proactive Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing Australian-based agency.

In this role, you will work directly with the Director and internal teams, managing a broad range of client projects and campaigns. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising marketing initiatives across various platforms (organic social, email, paid ads, SEO, and more). In addition, you will oversee operational tasks such as websites and servers, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

This position is fully remote, work from home 9am-5pm IST Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media & Content Marketing
• Plan, create, and schedule organic social media content (graphics, copy, etc.) across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
• Review and approve AI-generated content to ensure quality and alignment with client brand guidelines.
2. Email Marketing & Outreach
• Develop and implement email marketing strategies (broadcast campaigns, drip sequences, segmentation, subscriber list maintenance).
• Create and optimise cold email outreach campaigns (strategy, copy, A/B testing) using tools such as Instantly.ai.
• Manage ongoing list hygiene, ensuring compliance with spam regulations and deliverability best practices.
3. Paid Advertising
• Create, manage, and optimise social media ad campaigns (Meta, TikTok) including design, copywriting, targeting, and budgeting.
• Work in tandem with our Google Ads team to refine strategies, provide feedback, and implement recommended optimisations.
• Oversee Google Ads campaign set-up, performance tracking, and ongoing adjustments.
4. Website & Landing Page Management
• Clone, set up, and maintain client websites on company servers.
• Coordinate with designers, developers, and copywriters to produce high-converting landing pages.
• Oversee WordPress plugin updates, security checks, and general site maintenance (including DNS and Cloudflare setups).
5. Client & Project Coordination
• Liaise with copywriters, designers, developers, project managers, and external vendors to ensure timely project completion.
• Communicate directly with clients as needed to gather requirements, provide updates, and suggest improvements.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously in platforms like ClickUp, Trello, Asana, or similar.
6. SEO & Analytics
• Run comprehensive SEO audits (e.g. using Screaming Frog, SEMRush) and reporting.
• Track key metrics, produce performance reports, and provide actionable insights for improvements.
• Maintain and connect client analytics accounts (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, etc.).
7. Marketing Automation & Quality Control
• Act as the human in the loop for automated workflows (approving AI-generated copy, scheduling content, ensuring accuracy).
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks while ensuring quality and compliance.
8. Ecommerce & Promotions
• Update online stores, manage product catalogues, and ensure promotions run smoothly.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, end-of-financial-year, etc.) across email, social, and paid ads.
9. General Operational Tasks
• Set up new email accounts for clients, configure DNS records, and ensure secure hosting/server environments.
• Oversee general approvals, process creation, and documentation of internal workflows.
• Provide ad hoc support on technical tasks like implementing custom domains, reviewing site load times, or basic design tweaks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Marketing & Technical Expertise
• Proven experience in digital marketing (3+ years), ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with social media platforms (Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager), email marketing tools (e.g. MailerLite, Instantly.ai), and CRM/outreach platforms.
• Solid understanding of WordPress or similar CMS, basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
• Strategic & Analytical Thinking
• Ability to develop marketing strategies across organic, paid, and outreach channels.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data (Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.) and make data-driven decisions.
• Keen eye for detail when approving AI-generated or human-created content.
• Project & Time Management
• Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple clients/projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
• Proficiency with project management software (ClickUp, Trello, Asana, or similar).
• Communication & Collaboration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (near-native fluency essential).
• Comfort in liaising with design, development, copywriting, and other specialised teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Australian clients, respecting cultural nuances and time zone differences.
• Adaptability & Problem-Solving
• Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and marketing techniques.
• Creative approach to solving problems, from strategic campaign planning to quick-turn design changes.

Desirable Experience/Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with Australian market nuances, including consumer behaviour and relevant regulations.
• Experience with B2B lead generation and LinkedIn marketing.
• Knowledge of advanced marketing automations, personalisation strategies, and sales funnels.
• Basic graphic design or video editing capability to help with creative assets when needed.
