To be responsible for charging all Food and Beverage and miscellaneous items in the In Room Dining.
To answer In Room Dining telephones and advise, assist and take orders correctly, recommending and selling as appropriate, according to In Room Dining core standards.
To know and check daily all menus and wine lists especially daily and weekly specials etc.
To upsell to guests and help guests make a full selection of our products.
To issue guest orders to waiters in absence of the Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
To monitor timing of all orders and advise the Assistant Manager or Supervisor of any delays or problems occurring.
To contact guests if there are delays or challenges with an order, with the Assistant Manager or Supervisor s input.
To check orders for quality and presentation where possible when leaving In Room Dining in absence of the Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
To prepare all documentation for mini bar waiters in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
To call up extra departures and arrivals every hour on the system and inform mini-bar waiters and Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
To ask the guest if he has received his newly newspaper.
To offer special menu s and promotions to guests.
To always write the guest name, room number and estimated delivery time on orders and guest checks.
To ensure that there is no background noise inside Co-ordinators Office.
To always call the guest by name and repeat the room number to double check that the correct room number has been given, in addition to double checking the food and beverage order.
To operate all computer systems in accordance with the correct operating standards.
To order all stationery and organise the office on a daily basis.
To record all complaints in the Log book and bring to the attention of the Assistant Manager or Supervisor, any detail or comment or knowledge that refers to a guest.
