Job Description

  • 1) Accounting Management
  • Manage and support the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger etc.
  • Maintaining records related to book keeping, expenses, funds, partnership ventures.
  • To verify all payments for completeness concerning financial calculation, procurement
  • policy, statutory deductions etc.
  • a) Book Keeping and Bank Reconciliation Recording, maintaining and managing day-to-day financial transactions of the company.
  • b) Coordinating and preparing and maintaining purchase orders, invoices, and payment orders. Project wise maintenance of accounts- payments received and
  • c) Preparation of Monthly MIS Report Reconciliations. Coordinating with Bankers. Monitor Revenue, Bill booking and Receivable Management.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. Maintaining receipts and payment entries in Tally.
  • To run month-end closing procedures such as reconciliation and settlement of bank, cash, advances, grant reversal entries and reconciling all donor fund and cash balances.
  • Ensure to follow all the financial rules and regulations of the Government Central or State and other Statutory Authorities including all aspects of Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA).

  • 2) Financial Management
  • Coordinate on monthly and annual financial statements; support in collating financial reporting materials for all donors, and coordinate for all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
  • Coordinate and support in all audit processes, coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit process
  • Support in annual budgeting and planning process, monitor progress and changes; and keep AGM informed of the financial status and activities.
  • 3) Project Support
  • Assist the Project Managers in the development and preparation of budget for project proposals or project budget submissions, invoicing etc in accordance with donor guidelines.
  • Maintain financial records for each project or service in a manner that facilitates timely and accurate management reports at month end.
  • Conduct field travel to the unit / project offices as necessary to review financial procedures and assist managers in their needs.
  • 4) Administration & Payroll
  • Assist in establishment of procurement procedures and expenditure
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other statutory deductions.
  • To manage the accounting / statutory aspects, like Income Tax, GST, Provident Fund etc.
