Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Jig & fixture design and development.
• Process design, optimization, and control.
• Familiarize with all types of SPM machines & their working principles.
• Process Knowledge of Fabrication, Surface Treatment (Anodizing, ED coating & Powder Coating), Machine Shop, Injection Moulding & PU, Assembly).
• Process Knowledge of Sheet Metal & Tubular part (Bending, Mitring & Press, TIG & MIG Welding).
• Layout making & optimization.
• Time Study, motion Study & Line Balancing.
• Equipment & FA management Knowledge.
• Plant OEE calculation & improvement.
• Plant Capacity Calculation.
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of methodologies to reduce waste, improve efficiency.
• Risk Management.
• Cost control & cost optimization of Plant.
• Knowledge of ERP Business Central Production module & its development.
• Catia, solid works and AutoCAD software knowledge.
• Documentation & implementation Knowledge of APQP & PPAP.
• Hands-on experience with process validation, statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Poke-Yoke & countermeasures.
• Hands-on experience with new technology (Robotics, Laser Cutting Tubular & Sheet metal parts).
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet regulatory standards.
• Specify, procure, and validate equipment and tooling Create and maintain detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Certifications in CAD tools like AutoCAD & CATIA or SolidWorks.
• ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Lean Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA & TPM.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and implement practical solutions.
• OEE & Capacity Calculation & optimization
• Exposure to Robotics, additive Manufacturing, Laser Tube & Sheet cutting, Bending, Press (Sheet metal).
• Part Layout
• Improves process efficiency and reliability.
• Exposure to Low-cost Automation.
• Eager to Learn New Technology & tools.

Qualification and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in PE or Business Excellence 4-5 years will be preferrable.

Note - The candidate should have experience in the automotive industry or in sectors that involve the operations mentioned above.
