Job Description
- Design and execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform SQL database testing to validate data integrity, data manipulation, and database interactions.
- Conduct API testing to verify the functionality and integration of backend services with front-end applications.
- Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and techniques for manual testing, SQL querying, and API testing.
- 4+ years of experience in manual software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and practices.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate database operations, data consistency, and data retrieval.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger, and knowledge of RESTful API principles.
- Familiarity with issue tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla, and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for test automation.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
