Homologation & Compliance Engineer

Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with engineering teams to gather homologation data, prepare homologation documentation, track program status, prepare and submit type approval applications, drive process improvements, including automation opportunities.

• Engineering degree
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience on homologation process and automotive regulations.
• Broad understanding of vehicle systems, components and their interactions.
• High levels of integrity and ethics.
• Proven project management capability.

• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively within a diverse and virtual cultural environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel interstate and overseas when required.

• Interface with Lead Engineering Program Teams (Marketing, Product Development, Planning, Manufacturing, etc.) on regulatory or homologation requirements.
• Liaise global engineering teams for collecting engineering data & component approvals in support of minor and major program gateways.
• Liaise CAD and engineering teams to prepare and release homologation drawings in support of minor and major program gateways.
• Consolidate engineering data into final government applications and submit to partners, authorities or external agencies.
• Track, maintain and release overall program homologation status reports for program gateways.
• Prepare and deliver national type approval documents for various global markets.
• Analyse homologation business activities and identify opportunities to modernise and improve efficiency (e.g. write automation scripts to extract, transform and load technical engineering and homologation data)
• Provide regulatory knowledge transfer and improve awareness among global engineering teams.
• Deliver appropriate guidance on regulatory, and quasi-regulatory requirements for world markets
• Prepare and cascade applicable Regulatory requirements, Safety Design Guidelines, and Public Domain Guidelines for forward model programs in support of major program gateways.
• Support engineering teams to ensure robust, consistent compliance documentation and help resolve regulatory and non-regulatory design related issues.
