Role & responsibilities:

1. Knowledge and expertise in FCAW/GMAW welding process to weld radiography quality butt

and fillet welds in Flat, Horizontal and Vertical Uphill position in plate.

2. Knowledge of welding safety norms and usage of PPE.

3. Knowledge of NDE processes like PT and RT.

4. Knowledge of WPS, PQR and welding parameters.

5. Knowledge of welding equipment handling.

6. Knowledge of welding defects and welding sequence to be followed to avoid distortion.

7. Knowledge of back chipping using 4, 7 Grinders and back gouging using carbon arc

gouging.
