Education / experience

Basic qualification:-

BE (Electrical) or BE (Electrical and Instrumentation) with at least 6-10 years years relevant work.

Knowledge of the following area is required-

• PLC programming, instrument and process knowledge.
• Electrical and instrumentation control knowledge..
• Combustion process and control for boilers and energy plant.
• Fuel handling equipment for fuel and ash conveying.
• Project planning and monitoring with resource management.
• Trouble shooting for product performance improvement
• Governing national and international codes for electrical standard and instrumentation standards.
• Protection classes, insulation class and hazardous class for panels and instruments.
• Design of control system based on SCADA and relay logic for boilers / energy plants.
• P & amp ID and legends proficiency and PFD knowledge.

Other Skills / Abilities:

• AutoCAD Proficiency with Release 2006/08 or better version.
• Knowledge of Autodesk PID, E-plan or equivalent software's for preparing engineering documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge on PLC programming and ladder diagram and Working with 3D modelling will be added advantage.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Knowledge of PID and PFD with legend, tag numbering and control loops in consideration process / Boiler /Energy plant.
• Knowledge of various instruments, its selection and integration with hook up diagram with process parameters.
• Knowledge of various sensor used for measuring various process parameters viz. pressure, temperature, levels, flow and positions, speed.
• Knowledge of switchgear and motor selection based on electrical and mechanical requirements and considerations.
• Skill of design and selection of control panel GA, MCC and power distribution board, Gauge panel.
• Skill of selection of VFD, soft starters, communication protocols and PLC.
• Skill of design and detail engineering SLD, ladder diagram and PLC program in consideration of process control logic and switch gear.
• Design knowledge of electrical, earthing details, grid hook up and turbine panel integrations.
• Preparation of specifications for control panel, MCC panel, Power distribution panel, turbine panel, cabling, various instruments including transmitters and sensors.
• Technical Evaluation and auditing of vendor offers and data sheets for various instruments and electrical equipment.
• Design and detail engineering skill and knowledge of preparing cable trays layout and Bill of material, cable tray routings, Junction Box schedules and drawings, cable selection and cable routing with Bill of materials.
• Knowledge and skill of conducting Haze off study and preparing reports for taking action based on process parameters and safety considerations.
• Design and selection of various types of flowmeters required for flow measurements and control like steam, water, air and flue gas, compressed air, cooling water etc.
• Knowledge of preparing utility list, power list and consumables requirements during pre-commissioning and commissioning with considerations of due safety from supplier and customer requirements.
• Preparation of Bill of materials for instruments, cables and electrical items based on final PID, contractual PO requirements and vendor data.
• Knowledge of Codifications for bill of material and specifications in the ERP system as per guidelines for entering data in the ERP system.
• Coordination with vendor, customers and manufacturing agencies based on the requirements.
