As an Assistant Manager - Procurement (IT Non-IT), you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for both IT and Non-IT categories, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods and services. You will lead vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement strategies, while ensuring that procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations in India. The role is pivotal in driving 100% compliance across all procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement :
Develop and execute procurement strategies for both IT and Non-IT categories, ensuring alignment with the organization s objectives.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor identification, RFPs, negotiations, contract drafting, and purchase orders.
Ensure cost optimization without compromising on quality and service-level agreements (SLAs).
2. IT Procurement :
Lead the procurement of IT equipment (hardware, software, networking, etc.), cloud services, and IT consulting.
Collaborate with the IT department to understand technical needs and ensure seamless procurement.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and track performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
3. Non-IT Procurement :
Oversee procurement for non-IT goods and services such as office supplies, furniture, facilities management, and utilities.
Ensure efficient procurement to support business operations and maintain service standards.
4. Compliance Management :
Ensure 100% compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and Indian regulatory requirements.
Monitor and implement procurement best practices, ensuring internal audits and external inspections are passed without exceptions.
Ensure that contracts and procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards, and proactively address any gaps or risks.
5. Vendor Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with both IT and Non-IT vendors to foster long-term partnerships.
Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
6. Budget Cost Control :
Work closely with the finance team to manage procurement budgets effectively.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in procurement processes.
7. Reporting Analytics :
Generate regular procurement reports and do data analysis including spend analysis, cost savings, vendor performance, and compliance adherence.
Aide in budgeting, cost analysis and determining efficacy of tools implemented
Utilize data analytics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and procurement risks.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or related advanced degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial or assistant manager role handling both IT and Non-IT categories.
Working knowledge of Tableau and exposure to data interpretation will be an added advantage
Strong knowledge of Indian procurement laws and regulations combined with excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Familiarity with procurement management tools (e.g., Oracle, iProp, Coupa, Ariba).
Analytical mindset, highly process oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent partnership and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
High attention to detail and a commitment to achieving 100% compliance.
