Job Description

Key Responsibilities


1. Leadership and Strategy:


  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement robust sales and marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals. Translate business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of sales and marketing plans. Provide regular updates and reports to the Managing Director

2. Sales Leadership:


  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Sales Processes: Develop and refine sales processes, methodologies, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Implement CRM systems and tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

3. Marketing Strategy:


  • Brand Management: Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, advertising, and public relations. Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all channels.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, behaviours, and trends. Utilize insights to inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Monitor expenditures and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial objectives.

4. Market Expansion:


  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and segments. Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the companys market presence.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Establish strategic partnerships and alliances with industry stakeholders, including airlines and regulatory bodies. Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure mutual benefits.

5. Analytics and Insights:


  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to monitor performance, measure success, and make informed decisions. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports and dashboards to track progress, identify trends, and provide insights to the executive team. Present findings and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes, strategies, and outcomes. Identify areas for enhancement and drive initiatives to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness.

6. Team Development:


  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages innovation and growth.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and develop individual development plans. Recognize and reward high performance, and address underperformance through constructive feedback and support.

Qualifications:


Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) or equivalent prestigious institution.

Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing roles, preferably within the aviation industry.

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and developing effective marketing strategies.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation tools, and data analytics platforms.

Flexibility: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
