Study project details, RFQ and other inputs to generate feasible and optimized design solution. Generate design concept as per inputs received.

Create 3D model and 2D drawings as per design concept generated.

Design of components as per manufacturability (sheet metal and plastic components).

Create and on time delivery of engineering documents for customer communication and approval.

Conduct design feasibility review with respective departments.

Conduct trials at plant, supplier end or at field to establish or validate design ideas.

Study and use of engineering calculations various design calculators to validate design.

Understand need for FEA/ CFD analysis, prepare inputs for FEA/CFD analysis. Study of analysis results and accommodate necessary suggested improvements in design.

Thoroughly understand and create design verification plan to validate the design.

Should follow internal SOP to release engineering drawings, standard BOM.

Studying customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis of failure and to provide on time solutions to solve customer complaints.

Should have worked on design of sheet metal components, and plastic molded (Injection and blow molding) parts rubber parts

Good knowledge on design considerations, advantages, and limitations of various Sheet metal operations process and plastic molding (Injection and blow molding) processes.

Good knowledge on design considerations, its capabilities limitations.

Good understanding of basic mechanics of materials and fluid dynamics.

Good understanding of GDT, tolerance stack-up.

Good knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA.

Awareness of international standards ISO, ASTM, ASME etc.

Knowledge of engine, gensets and its components / systems etc. is preferred.

Should have good proficiency knowledge of part modeling, assembly modeling and drawing detailing through 3D CAD modeling software.

Understanding on engineering release processes, engineering change management, document release and control process through PLM.

Basic understanding of filter working design is advantage.

Working experience in CAD software integrated with PLM is advantage. Should have knowledge of APQP documentation.

Should have working experience in Creo/ Pro-E Auto CAD .

Knowledge of project management through PLM software. Windchill (Preferred).

Good communication skills to articulate design ideas and coordinate project management activities with in and across different departments.
