Location: Bengaluru, India

Shift Timing: Night Shift, 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST

Salary: ₹5,40,000 per annum

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Medical Coding Associate to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in ICD-9 coding for the Canadian healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records according to established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze clinical statements to assign standard codes using ICD-9 CM.
• Ensure compliance with established coding guidelines, third-party reimbursement policies, regulations, and accreditation guidelines.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to verify documentation and obtain additional information.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the standards of the Canadian healthcare information privacy laws.
• Participate in coding audits and education sessions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle data entry and coding for various types of medical records, ensuring high accuracy and speed.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in medical coding with a strong focus on ICD-9.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian healthcare protocols and procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in night shifts as specified.
