Risk Analyst (5-6 yrs)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our growing team.

The Risk Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks across the organization.

This includes assessing financial, operational, technological, and regulatory risks, and working with different departments to ensure that the company operates within acceptable risk levels.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, and the ability to collaborate across teams to implement risk control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification & Assessment:

- Conduct risk assessments across various business units to identify potential risks (financial, operational, compliance, technological, etc.

- Assess the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks to the business.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to document and evaluate risk scenarios, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Risk Mitigation & Control:

- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, working closely with department leaders to reduce risk exposure.

- Recommend controls and safeguards to minimize risks in operations, financial processes, IT systems, and regulatory compliance.

- Ensure the effectiveness of risk controls through regular reviews and audits.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting:

- Monitor risk indicators and key metrics to track ongoing risk levels and ensure timely mitigation actions are taken.

- Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting key risks and proposed mitigation strategies.

- Assist in the development of risk dashboards for continuous monitoring of risk positions across the organization.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Ensure the organization complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

- Keep updated on changes in regulations and assess the impact on existing risk management strategies.

- Assist in audits and support compliance reviews to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Data Analysis & Risk Modelling:

- Use data analysis techniques to assess risk exposure and impact, employing statistical models, financial forecasting, and scenario analysis.

- Implement risk modeling tools and software to analyze trends and predict potential risk factors.

Collaboration & Advisory:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, operations, legal, etc. ) to promote a risk-aware culture across the organization.

- Advise on risk-related matters in decision-making processes and strategic planning.

- Provide training and support to departments on risk-related best practices and procedures
