Software Integration Tester - Functional/Regression Testing (4-6 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Software Integration Tester to join our team. As a Software Integration Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of different software systems and applications within the organization.

You will work closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and execute integration tests, identify integration issues, and ensure that software components function correctly when integrated with other systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for integration of software systems across multiple platforms.

- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of integrated systems to ensure the correct flow of data and interaction between different software modules.

- Identify and document integration issues, providing clear and actionable feedback to development teams to ensure prompt resolution of problems.

- Test the integration of applications with various operating systems, hardware, and network environments to ensure that the software works across different systems.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for integration testing using tools like Selenium, Postman, or JUnit.

- Work closely with software developers and system architects to understand integration points and identify potential risks and issues during the development process.

- Communicate testing progress, issues, and resolutions to internal stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of the quality status and any integration challenges.

- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive test reports and documentation on test execution, defects found, and the overall quality of integrations.

- Work alongside developers to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues quickly, ensuring smooth system functionality.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and processes for software integration testing.

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by analyzing integration points, dependencies, and communication between system components.

- Conduct performance and load testing of integrated systems to ensure that they perform well under various conditions and meet performance requirements.

- Utilize tools such as SoapUI, Postman, Jenkins, or other relevant integration testing tools to facilitate the testing process.

- Collaborate with the team using version control systems like Git or SVN to maintain test cases and track changes.

Technical Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience (3-5 years) in integration testing, preferably in complex environments involving multiple systems or third-party APIs.

- Strong knowledge of various testing methodologies such as functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.

- Experience in creating and running automated tests using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, or similar.

- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar, to write and maintain automated test scripts.

- Experience testing web services and APIs, including RESTful and SOAP services, using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or other relevant platforms.

- xFamiliarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to run automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
