Linguistic QA Tester

Languages - Urdu,Bengali, Odiya, Gujrati.

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Linguistic QA Tester with a strong background in linguistics, quality assurance, and QA testing.

In this role, you will focus on ensuring the linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and overall quality of copy, localized content, and digital interfaces.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to maintain the integrity of messaging, tone, and voice across multiple platforms, ensuring that all content aligns with market-specific guidelines and cultural standards.

JD for Tester:
Review copy and identify issues with tone and voice, facts or grammar, formatting, punctuation, spelling and messaging.
Rate and provide clear in-writing feedback for each deliverable reviewed.
Provide quality localization for last-minute or confidential requests.
Provide feedback and informed suggestions about terminology or brands.
Review language-specific guidelines and provide market/cultural insight.
Review copy in context, such as within an email, placed on art or within a webpage, for example
Perform full Quality Assurance (QA) on the different platforms, and testing environments (including Production), as required by each Project
Report and file bugs
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new tools or features being rolled out.

Linguistic Proficiency:

Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
Deep understanding of tone, voice, and messaging in multiple contexts.

Quality Assurance (QA) Testing:

Proven experience in QA processes, bug identification, and testing environments.
Ability to perform end-to-end testing across different platforms (web, mobile, email).

Localization & Cultural Sensitivity:

Experience with content localization and cultural adaptation.
Knowledge of market-specific guidelines and language trends.

Copy Editing & Proofreading:

Ability to review and edit copy for clarity, coherence, and linguistic accuracy.
Skilled in identifying issues with formatting, punctuation, and language style.

Bug Reporting:

Experience with reporting bugs and issues clearly, providing detailed documentation for development teams.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Hands-on experience assisting with UAT for new features, tools, or platforms.

Tools & Platforms:

Familiarity with QA testing tools, bug tracking systems, and content management systems (CMS).
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and any localization tools.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to linguistic and content-specific details, with a focus on delivering error-free results.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing clear feedback and collaborating with teams.
