Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solution Architect with a strong background in Java development and cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud-based solutions while ensuring security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Design :

- Design AWS cloud architectures that are scalable, high-performing, and cost-efficient.

- Define best practices for cloud adoption and migration strategies.

- Develop high-level and detailed technical designs and solution architectures.

2. Java Development & Application Management :

- Develop enterprise-level Java applications using frameworks like Spring Boot & Hibernate.

- Ensure code quality, security, and performance optimizations in Java applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Java applications with AWS services.

3. AWS Cloud Implementation & Management :

- Deploy and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS.

- Implement serverless architectures where applicable.

- Monitor and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance.

4. Security & Compliance :

- Implement AWS security best practices (IAM roles, VPC security, encryption, access controls).

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO, SOC, GDPR, etc.).

5. CI/CD & DevOps Integration :

- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

- Ensure automated testing and deployment for continuous integration & delivery.

6. Troubleshooting & Optimization :

- Identify and resolve AWS infrastructure and Java application issues.

- Optimize performance at both application and infrastructure levels.

- Monitor logs and metrics using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.

7. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing :

- Create and maintain technical documentation for AWS architecture and best practices.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Must-Have Technical Skills :

- AWS Cloud Expertise - Strong experience in AWS architecture, implementation, and automation.

- Java Development - Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs.

- Microservices & Containerization - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Fargate.

- CI/CD Pipelines - Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Expertise in Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.

- Networking & Security - Knowledge of VPCs, IAM, KMS, WAF, VPNs, and AWS Security Best Practices.

- Database & Storage - Experience with RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Elasticache.

Soft Skills & Behavioral Attributes :

- Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills.

- Ability to work independently and lead cloud projects.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

- Experience in an Agile / DevOps development environment.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory) :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
