Senior Quality Engineer - Java/Automation Testing (5-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for APIs, microservices, and web applications.

- Perform manual and automated testing, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring optimal quality of software products.

- Utilize open-source tools like RestAssured, Karate, Cucumber BDD, and Selenium for test automation.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand system requirements and contribute to test strategy and execution.

- Write efficient, modular, and maintainable code in Java to support automation frameworks.

- Work with various database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and pub-sub systems.

- Conduct testing in a Linux/Unix environment and support the overall CI/CD pipeline using Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

- Contribute to an Agile/Scrum development process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of test results.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative setting.

- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar QA role.

- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Extensive experience in writing test plans and creating detailed test cases.

- Expertise in API and microservices testing and automation.

- Proficient in Java, with hands-on experience in developing maintainable code for automation purposes.

- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

- Solid understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and pub-sub technologies.

- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.

- Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
