Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide accurate and competitive insurance quotes to potential clients, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various operational functions within the insurance department, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing RFQs. Utilize insurance rating systems and software (Offline & Online) to generate accurate quotes for various insurance products, including but not limited to general liability insurance, professional liability insurance (errors and omissions insurance), and product liability insurance and life insurance.
- Review client information and insurance applications to assess risk factors and determine appropriate coverage options.
- Collaborate with insurance agents and underwriters to gather necessary information and ensure quotes meet company guidelines and standards.
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, or in-person meetings to discuss insurance options, provide explanations of coverage, and address any questions or concerns.
- Follow up with clients to finalize quotes, process applications, and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of quote requests, client interactions, and insurance transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product offerings, and underwriting guidelines to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering prompt, professional, and personalized assistance to clients throughout the quote process.
- Handle inquiries from clients, agents, and other stakeholders regarding policy details, coverage information, and billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field preferred. Licentiate / Associate in Insurance would be added advantage
- 5+ years of experience in insurance sales, customer service, or related field with General Insurance &/or Broking Company
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage options, and rating methodologies.
- Proficiency in insurance rating systems (for Offline quotes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately process and analyze information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
