Junior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and track financial discrepancies.
• Support in tax calculations, filing GST returns, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Handle payroll processing and maintain employee expense records.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documents and reports.
• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software.
• Ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and maintained in a timely manner.
• Support senior accountants and finance teams with additional tasks as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software Tally ERP Prime, Google Sheets and Excel must. QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP will be added advantage
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
