Azure and DevOps Support Engineer

What does a successful Azure and DevOps Support Engineer do at Fiserv ?

• The role involves Lead, design, develop and implement solutions in a complex environment consisting of various Azure resources and services on Cloud and On-Premises. It requires working in Distributed Computing Platform team providing infrastructure and application support to various business lines and works with staff to troubleshoot and problem-solve Infrastructure and related application issues.
• The role will primarily involve building, deployment and support our financial services business, which will help financial institutions make faster payments and look for opportunities to introduce further automation.
• As a technical expert, work closely with technical leads, project teams, Product owners, testing teams and Operation teams to build and implement end-to-end Infrastructure and application functionalities.

What will you do:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to understand and implement high available solutions on Azure across availability zones and regions Cloud and On-Premises. Experience in Azure Security Groups, VPC, Routing Tables, Subnets on Cloud and On-Premises.
• Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
• Migrate/setup existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions and/or setup on On-Premises. Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
• Cover on-call/Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for incidents/service requests & changes. Support 24x7 coverage as per Business needs.

What will you need to know:

• 4+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization and with IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems.
• Experience working within an Agile framework, IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet and Ansible, and Scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell.
• Proficient with GIT to perform source code management.
• Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps.
