Role Description

Working Hours: 6 AM to 2 PM.

Java Developer

Purpose of the role

• To analyse, design, build and deploy software solutions within agreed measures as part of the FMS Development Team.

Key outputs

• Well developed code that has been unit tested
  • Investigation/analysis of support issues.

Key tasks

• Build, support and maintain FMS software
  • implement solutions based on business/technical requirements/designs
  • Investigate issues
  • Communicate regularly with Analysts, Developers and Testers to verify and validate solutions
  • Support code during testing phases by resolving defects as a priority
  • Utilise agreed software development processes

Education requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline
  • Java certification preferred

Experience requirements

• 3+ years solid experience in Java EE, JSP/Servlets, Web Services, SQL, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS
  • Object-oriented analysis and common design patterns
  • Solid understanding of the software development process
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Able to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
