Job Title / Designation: Wordpress Developer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites that meet our needs.

Location: Anywhere in India (Remote - WFH)

Experience:  at least two years

What is the business

We are getting into the business of providing services such as plumbing, electricals, moving using AI to customers in the UK through a chatbot. Our business is at the intersection of technology and sustainability.

We will be starting the service of picking up used materials (eg. old furniture, fridge) from offices and houses which needs to be taken to a recycling facility. Customers book the collection service on our platform and our drivers pick up the items to take them to the recycling centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Websites: Create, customise, and manage WordPress websites.

• Theme and Plugin Development: Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance functionality.

• Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance, security, and responsiveness of all WordPress sites.

• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve website issues or bugs in a timely manner.

• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in WordPress development.

• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of all project components.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficient in React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap is a plus.

• Tools & Technologies: Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and debugging tools.

• Knowledge of CMS: Strong understanding of WordPress core architecture, RESTful services, and API integrations.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
