Job Description

Position: Head of IT Sales.

Location: Bangalore.

Job Overview:

- The Head of IT Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy and execution for IT services.

- This role will manage a team of sales professionals, foster relationships with key clients, and drive revenue growth by promoting IT solutions across various industries.

- The Head of IT Sales will collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to align sales efforts with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:.

Sales Leadership:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for IT services, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching and development to ensure high performance.

- Set sales targets and KPIs, track performance, and ensure that the team consistently meets or exceeds goals.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers.

- Act as a senior point of contact for key accounts, understanding client needs and offering tailored IT solutions.

- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Market Knowledge:

- Stay up to date with the latest IT trends, technologies, and market dynamics to identify new sales opportunities.

- Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback and insights from customers and prospects.

- Lead product and service training initiatives for the sales team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to sell effectively.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

- Oversee the creation of sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analytics.

- Monitor sales data, analyze trends, and adjust strategies as needed to maximize growth.

- Implement sales processes and tools that streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Collaboration and Strategy Alignment:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute demand generation and lead conversion campaigns.

- Work with the finance team to ensure pricing models are competitive and profitable.

- Partner with operations and customer support teams to ensure successful product delivery and client satisfaction.

New Business Development:

- Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets for IT solutions.

- Lead efforts to expand market share and diversify the company's customer base.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

- Proven track record of success in IT sales leadership, with at least 5-10 years of experience in sales or business development within the IT industry.

- Experience managing and growing sales teams, with a focus on achieving ambitious revenue targets.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of IT solutions, including software, hardware, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

- Expertise in sales strategies, business negotiations, and relationship management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in CRM software (e. , Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.

Education - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
