IT Automation Cloud Engineer (Chennai)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management:
   
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Implement and automate cloud resource provisioning and scaling using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
2. Automation:
   
• Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Write and manage automation scripts in languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Use configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
3. Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
   
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for cloud environments (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Analyze and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost efficiency.
4. Security and Compliance:
   
• Implement security best practices in the cloud environment (e.g., IAM roles, encryption, security patches).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in cloud deployments.
5. Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to ensure seamless automation of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in design and architecture reviews.
6. Cloud Native Services:
   
• Implement and manage cloud-native solutions such as container orchestration with Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and microservices.

• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Travis CI
• Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch
• Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools
• Knowledge of scripting and programming for automation
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices
• Cloud security best practices
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), etc.
